Barbaric Acts Of 1678, by Bre and Kim

                                            (A.K.A. "King Phillip's War, 1675-1678)

                                                          

To start with...who was "King Phillip"/Metacomet? Metacomet was a guy who was called "King Phillip" by the English colonists, and helped lead the different tribes of the Wamponong nation. Specifically, he led some allies of the Wamponoag tribe to safety during the King Phillp's War. That war, which took place between 1675-1678, involved the Colonist  and the Natives. This led to a long history of the Colonists degrading the natives for years!  Years of torment & being forced off land. But yet, the natives didn't surrender under pressure.  The colonists' demands and constant  insatiable greed for power is what caused the war.  There was a history of the Colonists taking over running the Indian/natives out of their land, in and around Boston. Making it seem like the colonist was in control the whole time the natives stayed silent . When really it wasn't that way at all... the Wampanoags and other tribes tried to make peace with the colonists until they were pushed too far.
