Dorchester was originally one of the biggest towns in the Massachusetts
bay colony established in 1630. Along with that Dorchester was also the home
to numerous types of an industry some of which is the first for the country.
For instance, Dorchester was one of the first places in the country to have a
chocolate manufacturer. This factory was known as “Bakers Chocolate Factory” this
Chocolate Factory was the first of its kind established in 1765 it is now the oldest
chocolate factory in the United States with it now being owned by Mondelez International.
Finally, with that out of the way, Dorchester is also known for its cultural diversity with
there being all kinds of different races like Hispanic, Black, American Indian, Asian, etc
and with these different races come to a neatly wrapped bundle of Cultural Traditions.
