On December 16, 1773, a person named Samuel Adams, a leader of the Boston Sons of Liberty, organized a group of men to disguise themselves as Mohawk Indians and took the tea and dumped it into the harbor. All the tea dumped into the harbor was worth 1 million dollars in today’s money! The Tea Party created more tension with the British.
